They were eliminated in the quarter finals but are still hopeful they will make it to the state championships at Saginaw Valley State. The Greater Ottawa County United Way wrapped up their annual community campaign at the LIVE UNITED celebration event at the end of March. During the event, Shape was recognized by United Way for our large contribution to our community. United Way awarded Shape, the “Out of the Box Award” which is given to the organization that has the most innovative company campaign. The top two campaigns this year were run by Shape Corp and Haworth. Together, we raised nearly half of a million dollars for the campaign. We are incredibly proud to announce that the Shape Czech was named Employer of the Year for the fifth year in a row. Some impressive new technology is coming to Shape’s 172nd facility, and it has got our team members excited. The plant is currently prepping a site for the new Driestern mill that will be shipped in all the way from Germany. Team members broke ground on May 21st to prepare for the addition of roll 117. This will be Shape’s first mill from Driestern, a new roll forming vendor.
