nnPosition Summary: Responsible for design and development of product gages & fixtures in all phases of Program Management. Manage and co-ordinate delivery of all gages and fixtures to Shape facilities that are complicit to Shape required build standards and validation. nnEssential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: nn n* Pull RFQ from feasibility folder along with other needed documents for Vendor Quoting. Coordinate with Shape Gage tracker (Part CAD Model, Drawings, Build Standard, RFQ, Customer specific requirements) n* Involved with engineering changes or updates to documentation. n* Track vendor quote for cost and timing. n* Vendor sourcing decision & issuing Purchase Orders n* Coordinate having documentation updated to Asset # (Asset # are not available in most cases through the quoting process) n* Collaborate with Shape Gage Tracker to track timing of check fixtures for design and build. n* Collaborate with Shape Gage Tracker to review check fixture designs & provide needed feedback. n* Manage updating check fixture build standard and other related documents. (may include standard parts list for replaceable items so if needed they are domestically available) n* Manage acquiring sample part/s for Gage R study or GRR Study and providing to vendors (may not be actual parts. Could be simulated parts, 3D printed, machined, etc.) n* Manage Vendor for check fixture Cart builds. n* Review Check fixture designs with customers as required. Obtain approvals. n* Collaborate with Shape Gage Tracker to review validation documents (CMM layout (including any 3rd party if needed), GR, GRR, Correlation, etc.) (store documents as required) n* Collaborate with Shape Gage Tracker for onsite review of check fixtures prior to packaging & shipping. n* Evaluate check fixtures upon arrival for damage or anything that may have been overlooked. n* Coordinate post-delivery validation items. CMM validation including completing metrology requests and providing needed files to metrology department. GRR Studies, Correlation studies, etc. n* Write operating instructions. n* Train Shape Associates on use of check fixtures. n* Provide all related documentation to launch QE as it pertains to PPAP requirements. n* Manage Post-delivery Engineering changes or repairs as well as related items (updating Work instruction, updating validation documents, etc.) n* Ensure compliance to process control plan requirements. n* Lead problem solving efforts relating to production quality issues. n* Maintain the Quality Management System in accordance to the ISO 9001 requirements. nnnnPosition Skills and Experience Requirements: nnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively.
