nnPosition Summary: nnnResponsible for ensuring quality parts are produced and/or assembled by conducting visual inspection and gage inspection of parts produced by a welder, press, mill or other production process while meeting production rates or efficiency requirements. nn nn nnEssential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: nn nn n* Perform production and/or assembly of parts in a safe manner adhering to all Safety policies. n* Continue the production of parts through the operations required of a welding, press, mill or assembling process. n* Distinguish and correct as needed the quality of a welded, milled, pressed or assembled part. n* Pack parts into various containers as specified by a standard. n* Perform required Plex functions including: creation/printing of tags, production recording etc. n* Adhere to and maintain 5S and LEAN Manufacturing standards. n* Function as a member of a work team by contributing and initiating quality, safety and productivity ideas. n* Train co-workers on manufacturing skills as required. n* Communicate appropriately to avoid unplanned downtime, inform other shifts of problems, trends, etc. Inform the leader of maintenance needs. n* Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader. nnTrainer Designation: nn nn n* Pass the Trainer interview n* Show competence and be able to train to all manufacturing systems and philosophies n* Explain all manufacturing systems and philosophies and the impact of the manufacturing associate within quality and within the business as a whole n* Accurately evaluate and complete required assessment of trainee n* Provide clear and concise communications/feedback to the trainee and to members of leadership n* Provide direction to the trainee with whom to contact for answers to questions, concerns, and ideas n* Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader. nnnnPosition Skills and Experience Requirements:nnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively.
