nn nnPosition Summary: nThe Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team and the lead financial advisor to the plant management. Contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership. The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance. Key areas of responsibility will include spend analysis, material and labor variance analysis, forecasting, KPI management and reporting, asset safeguarding and efficiencies, and evaluation / tracking cost initiatives. nn nnEssential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: nn* Manage all accounting operations including Inventory/Cost Accounting, standard cost maintenance / annual cost rolls of Material / Labor / OH, and financial resultsn* Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site; identify direct connections to enhance operational reporting on efficiency, scrap, etc (OneStream)n* Analyze variances and perform trend analysis to communicate explanations to management with recommended actions, identification of root cause, opportunities for improvementn* Determine fixed and variable cost structures/elements and model flex forecasts with business changes including consolidation, launch, transitionn* Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plantn* Asset safeguarding: oversee inventory balances, cycle counts, support working capital improvement plans, participate in capital expenditure development business case and post-spend auditn* Work with management to develop and track a database of risk & opportunitiesn* Lead financial and operational budget, provide monthly bridge to results for full P&Ln* Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, country or corporate objectivesn* Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing teamn* Shares best practices across global finance team, e.g. process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changesn* Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisionsn* Collaborates with Plant Manager, Division Leader and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysisn* Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risksn* Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirementsn* Estimate product costs to support quoting activitiesn* Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.n* Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader nnnn nnPosition Skills and Experience Requirements: nnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively.
