Plant Operations Manager

nnPosition Summary: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and management of the autonomous production unit (APU)/manufacturing area.nnEssential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:nnn* nnEnsure the safety of workplace for associates through coordination of efforts with the Health and Safety team and adhering to standardsn* nnEnsure quality of products and services for our customersn* nnEnsure ontime delivery of parts and services for customersn* nnResponsible for Productivity and Costn* nnPromote Core Values and Systemsn* nnLead Changen* nnSupport Operations and Manage using Shape Production Valuesn* nnFacilitate, coach and motivate leaders and associatesn* nnEstablish clear goals and tasks to achieve short term and long term corporate goalsn* nnManage, teach and lead lean manufacturing practices and systemsn* nnEnsure proper scheduling and staffing to meet customer needsn* nnFollow Shape problem solving guildelines to identify the root cause of problems, and develop actions to contain, correct and prevent their reoccurancen* nnAdminister company policies and proceduresn* nnPromote continuous improvement activities, such as, but not limited to, problem solving, DMAIC, and cross functional teams.n* nnMaintain positive moralen* nnPromote the manufacturing system, policies and goalsn* nnAct in accordance with Shape principles and valuesn* nnStaff Management:n* nnConduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct assocates, and ensure timely and complete performance evaluation of associates reporting under indirect supervisionn* nnAssess subordinates skill sets, current and future development needs and take steps to mentor and develop them appropriatelyn* nnService Specific Activitiesn* nnOptimize all service activities throughout the Shape Grand Haven campus, including but not limited to:n* nnManufacturing value streamn* nnPackaging and labeling approachn* nnInventory managementn* nnVA/VEn* nnEvaluate and monitor Shape Grand Haven service costsn* nnInteract with Business Unit Teams to ensure proper pricing and service part strategiesn* nnIdentify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.n* nnAdditional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.nnnn nnPosition Skills and Experience Requirements: nnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively.
