Shape’s Stampings facility includes: 110 associates, 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 10 stamping presses, 18 welders and produces more than 400 different parts. On June 15, they added the 2016 Business Recognition Award to their identity, in acknowledgement of having a significant impact in the Spring Lake community.

“Shape is a great asset to our community and we are proud to have them as a neighbor,” said John Nash, supervisor of Spring Lake Township. “Today, we want to recognize Shape for being a good employer, neighbor and business in our community.”

The award ceremony was held at Grand Haven’s Community Center and put on by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce to honor businesses from Grand Haven Township, the Village of Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg. Local and state government officials were present to give a big thanks to everyone’s hard work.

“I’d like to thank the Chamber of Commerce and Spring Lake Township for awarding us with this distinction,” said Andy Rosenberg, plant manager at Stampings. “We’re really honored and humbled to receive it.”

However, it’s not the products that make Shape great, it’s the people. “We’re family owned and the welfare of our employees and community is paramount to what we do every day,” said Andy. “Each day I see examples of team members going out of their way to help each other” expressed Andy during the luncheon. “Whether it be formal mentoring programs at work, or tuition reimbursement programs. Sometimes it’s helping those at work in need through our Helping Hands fund or in the community through our United Way campaign. And some days it’s Chuck Michael, our community liaison, stopping into each plant every morning just to give our folks a pat on the back or talk about what’s going on in their lives. We make it a priority to treat each other with honesty, dignity and respect through our commitment to core values. It’s just what we do and who we are, the Shape Family. Thank you to my team at Stampings for working hard each and every day,” said Andy. “Without you, this would not be possible.”
